Japanese Politics

The main aim of this seminar is to provide students with a concise overview of modern Japanese politics. The course is divided into three parts. The shortest part, Part I, covers the origins of modern Japanese domestic and international politics. Part II surveys domestic political history and political practice in postwar Japan. Finally Part III addresses Japan’s postwar International Relations Policies.
