APPLICATION PROCESS

Create your account on Renmin University’s application platform. You can create your account today and return to it later to complete and submit your application. Follow the instructions in the application handbook to compile your application materials and pay the application fee (directly online). Once complete, you can submit your application for initial review.

The program office will screen your application for completeness and competitiveness. If your application qualifies, it will be passed on to the admissions committee for evaluation. Please note that only complete application packages are considered and processed. Should you our initial screening and evaluation, you will be invited to an admissions interview.

Admissions interviews are conducted by members of the admissions committee, and aim at evaluating your motivation, your attitude, and your background. Interviews can be conducted in person for candidates already in Beijing, or via online video chat. We will be in touch with you to schedule your interview once your application passed initial screening and admissions evaluation.

Based on your application materials and your interview, the committee will make a decision about your admission, about which you will be informed immediately.

Should you successfully pass the admissions interview, a pre-acceptance letter will be made available to you within two weeks. Please note: The pre-admission letter may only serve you as proof of acceptance for scholarship applications. You will typically need this letter if you are applying for the Chinese Government Scholarship through the Chinese embassy or consulate in your home country, or for any other third-party funding.

Official admission letters will be mailed to your post address in late June. For applicants already in Beijing, the admissions documents can also be picked up in person. All that’s left to do at this point is for you to prepare your arrival in Beijing! We are looking forward to meeting you!
